Poles are going for Ozempic. They want to lose weight like celebrities

A recent YouGov study reveals that GLP-1 medications, particularly Ozempic, are influencing shopping habits in Polish households. Currently, 4.5% of households use these medications, with 12% considering them. Users tend to buy healthier foods, reducing purchases of sweets and starchy products. Households using GLP-1 medications account for 6% of FMCG spending, despite buying less food, as they opt for higher-quality items. The study also notes a shift in shopping venues, with increased spending in hypermarkets and drugstores. This trend may prompt retailers to adapt their product displays to cater to specific dietary needs.
