Belgian police use tear gas against young protesters in Brussels

Belgian police deployed tear gas against young protesters in Brussels after they breached a police cordon during a demonstration against rising living costs and fuel prices. The protest began peacefully at Central Station but escalated when around 300 youths attempted to access major streets. In response, police used tear gas and blocked access to several areas. Many shops were closed and secured following previous vandalism incidents during protests last week.
