Police patrol university with... drone
The Florida Polytechnic University has replaced traditional police cars with eVTOL drones for enhanced campus security. These drones, costing $148,000 each, are designed to quickly locate missing students, especially in hard-to-reach areas. The Jetson One drone, named Astro, can carry a police officer and reach speeds of 102 km/h, requiring only a few hours of training for pilots. This initiative aims to improve safety and efficiency in protecting students and staff.
