Balaštíková denies the allegations, which surfaced after recordings revealed her attempts to leverage her influence for personal gain. Following the revelations, her party, ANO, removed her from their candidate list. Balaštíková's ex-husband secretly recorded conversations in 2023, which included plans to target a company he manages. She previously faced allegations regarding a plot against her ex-husband's partner's dog, which was dismissed due to the statute of limitations. Balaštíková recently ran unsuccessfully for the Senate, finishing last in her district.
