The policewoman was supposed to warn the owner of Zoo Łączna. She has been charged.

A key piece of evidence in the case is a recorded conversation where Katarzyna S. warns Marcin N., the representative of the Zoo Łączna, about an impending police operation. The police officer admitted her guilt after being questioned and refused to provide further explanations. The prosecutor placed her under police supervision and suspended her from duty. The District Prosecutor's Office in Świdnica has taken over the investigation, promising to quickly assess the condition of the animals at the zoo. The police previously raided the zoo, seizing 33 animals and detaining five individuals. This decision faced protests from local residents, leading to attempts to block the transport of the animals, resulting in police intervention and arrests. Zoo Łączna, a private facility since 2012, houses around 100 animal species, including exotic ones.
