Police discover half a million in vapes in Tilburg building
This week, police seized thousands of illegal vapes in Tilburg, valued at nearly half a million euros. Following a tip-off, officers discovered over 5,100 THC vapes and 17,120 flavored e-cigarettes in a warehouse. A 28-year-old man was arrested for possession of hard drugs, as THC vapes are classified as such in the Netherlands. Flavored vapes have been banned since 2024 but remain popular among youth. The police noted that THC vapes may contain concentrated hemp oil or synthetic cannabis, with their exact contents often unclear. Investigations are ongoing, and two jammers that disrupt GPS and phone signals were also confiscated.
