Police seek witnesses and camera footage after a series of car break-ins in Affligem

The TARL police are seeking witnesses following a series of car break-ins in Affligem over the weekend. Officially, three reports of thefts were filed, but social media suggests more incidents occurred. Police spokesperson Steven De Ridder noted that these break-ins are often carried out by roaming groups testing car doors in neighborhoods. They are asking residents to recall any suspicious activity from October 31 to November 1 and to share any relevant CCTV footage. This issue is part of a larger trend in Flanders, where such crimes are becoming increasingly common due to more cars being left on the streets instead of in garages.
