Polish exporters beyond the mountains and the seas

Between 2021 and 2025, Polish exports to Kazakhstan more than doubled, exceeding $1 billion. Exports to Central Asian countries also increased, reaching €1.6 billion in 2024. Despite challenges from sanctions, Polish companies are expanding their market presence in Kazakhstan and neighboring countries. Transport routes have become more complex due to sanctions, with many goods now needing to bypass Russia. The Kazakh government is investing in port capacity and infrastructure to facilitate trade, aiming to significantly increase cargo volumes by 2040. Additionally, trade with Ukraine and Turkey is growing, with Poland's exports to Ukraine nearing 60 billion PLN in 2025.
