Over 20 million zlotys in fines for the travel agency. The court has made a decision
The Competition and Consumer Protection Court confirmed that travel agency Exim violated collective consumer interests, leading to a fine of over 20 million PLN. The court upheld sanctions and obligations for Exim to rectify the violations. UOKiK found that Exim unilaterally changed trip conditions without contractual rights and failed to inform consumers about their right to withdraw from contracts. The agency noted that Exim's practices misled consumers regarding cancellation fees and conditions. Following the ruling, Exim will inform consumers and refund improperly charged fees.
