More than half of men do not reach retirement age. Report reveals the scale of the problem
In 2025, the average life expectancy for men in Poland was 75.37 years, while for women it was 82.48 years, with premature male deaths contributing significantly to this gap. Over half of the difference in life expectancy is attributed to higher mortality rates among men under 65, affecting their active professional and social lives. The report highlights serious social inequalities, with a 13-year life expectancy gap between educated and less educated 30-year-old men. Experts point out deficiencies in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting men, noting that many do not receive adequate follow-up care. Recommendations include ensuring continuity of care for patients with abnormal test results and improving collaboration among healthcare providers.
