Popular app disappears from Samsung devices. The Korean giant shuts down the service

Samsung News will be discontinued in India and South Korea on December 21, 2026, affecting the app, widget, and panel on Galaxy devices. The service, launched in April 2023, provided news and updates but will lead to user data deletion, except where local laws require retention. There is speculation about its potential withdrawal from other markets and possible replacement by Google Discover.
