Portugal signs the sale of KC-390 aircraft to Greece
Portugal and Greece are set to sign an agreement for the sale of three Embraer KC-390 aircraft for approximately 590 million euros, generating a return of 33 million euros for Portugal. The signing ceremony will take place in Athens, following discussions between the defense ministers of both countries. Greece will pay for the aircraft and associated services, with Portugal benefiting from its involvement in the KC-390's development and NATO certification. The first aircraft is expected to be delivered in 2027, with subsequent deliveries in 2029 and 2031. The contract also includes logistical support and training for Greek personnel.
