Portugal and Peru strengthen cooperation in the fight against international criminal networks

Portugal and Peru have strengthened their cooperation against international criminal networks by signing a strategic port agreement. This agreement, signed between the National Port Authority of Peru and the Port of Sines, aims to protect maritime infrastructures from drug trafficking, smuggling, and money laundering. The Portuguese Foreign Minister, Paulo Rangel, emphasized the importance of enhancing maritime security and combating international and transnational crimes, particularly for coastal states that serve as gateways to South America and Europe.
