Portuguese Cinema Days return to Berlin with 12 screenings

The "Portuguese Cinema Days in Berlin" will take place from October 26 to December 3, featuring 12 sessions of Portuguese films. Organizer Helena Araújo noted the challenge of selecting from many high-quality films, expanding the program from eight to twelve sessions. The festival includes feature films and documentaries addressing themes like racism, immigration, and social changes in Portugal. Highlights include "Sonhar com Leões" and "A Memória do Cheiro das Coisas," with discussions featuring filmmakers. The event aims to engage both the Portuguese community and international audiences, fostering dialogue and cultural exchange. Established in 2018, the festival has gained official recognition in Berlin's cultural offerings.
