Police in Leszno have been investigating a group involved in catalytic converter thefts across several regions. They identified a suspect driving a car with stolen license plates. When officers attempted to stop him, he tried to run over one of them, prompting the use of firearms for the first time. The suspect fled, leading to a chase of about 30 kilometers. Eventually, he abandoned his vehicle and attempted to escape on foot, at which point officers fired warning shots. The man was apprehended without injuries, and more stolen license plates were found in his car.
