MPs will assess payments to healthcare in the final round
On Friday, lawmakers are set to vote on increasing state payments for health care for insured individuals, including pensioners and children. They will also discuss a law on the digital economy aimed at creating a safer online environment. Additionally, a proposal for gender quotas in leadership positions of large companies will be reviewed. The state health payments are expected to rise by 13 billion crowns, down from the initially proposed 21 billion. The digital economy law aligns with EU regulations and aims to enhance protections for children online, though critics raise concerns about potential censorship. The gender quota proposal mandates at least 40% female representation in supervisory boards of large firms, based on an EU directive. Two amendments to the criminal code regarding stricter penalties for domestic abuse and non-payment of alimony are also on the agenda.
