PostNL sees number of packages from Asian web shops continue to decline

PostNL has seen a significant decline in international package deliveries, particularly from Asia, with a 32% drop in the last three months. This decrease is attributed to new EU import regulations that increased costs for packages from outside the EU. While deliveries within Europe have increased by over 40%, this growth is offset by the decline in Asian packages. Despite fewer packages, PostNL has managed to increase revenue per package, leading to a slight overall revenue increase. The company is also reducing letter deliveries and is advocating for government support due to declining letter volumes.
