For Airbus and Boeing, the "struggle" of increased production

Airbus reported a quarterly operating profit of €1.77 billion, down 9%, primarily due to a decline in aircraft deliveries. The commercial aviation division saw a 12% drop in profits to €1.38 billion. Between July and September, Airbus delivered 196 aircraft, a decrease from 201 in the same period last year, although total deliveries for the year increased to 547. The order backlog reached a record 9,310 aircraft, equivalent to ten years of production at the current rate.
