Remote work may slow down an employee's career development

A report by Paradox24 reveals that remote work is a significant factor for many employees when choosing an employer, with 40% considering it crucial. Only 15% prefer solely office work. The study surveyed 800 adults working at least five hours a week on computers, highlighting a trend towards hybrid work models. Despite the preference for remote work, the overall job market remains less flexible, with only 6.1% of Polish workers typically working from home compared to 8.9% in the EU. Many employees express a desire for hybrid arrangements, with 55% favoring a home-based model. However, concerns about career advancement in remote roles persist, as physical presence in the office is often equated with commitment and reliability.
