Fuel prices are expected to remain high until the end of the year, says Galp
Galp forecasts that fuel prices will remain high until the end of the year due to refining capacity and geopolitical factors. CEO João Diogo Marques da Silva noted that market volatility will persist, impacting price stability. While electricity prices for Galp customers will not change until year-end, future developments for 2027 remain uncertain. The company has provided over 35 million euros in discounts to Portuguese families. Additionally, the Energy Services Regulatory Authority proposed a 1.5% increase in electricity prices for low voltage customers, pending approval.
