Gulbenkian Heritage Award for Nuno Valentim

The Gulbenkian Heritage Award will be presented to architect Nuno Valentim for his rehabilitation project of Biopolis headquarters in Vila do Conde. This project transforms an old farm into a contemporary scientific facility while respecting agricultural heritage. Valentim emphasizes the integration of various disciplines in the project, highlighting its innovative approach to agricultural spaces. The jury praised the exceptional quality of the restorations and the dynamic relationship with the surrounding community. Additionally, three honorable mentions were awarded for other rehabilitation projects in Porto, Matosinhos, and Lisbon.
