Prescription archives process against former administrators of BPN

After two and a half years in court, Arlindo Carvalho and former BPN administrators achieved a legal victory with the prescription of crimes and case dismissal. Judge Ana Paula Rosa signed the decision, which aligns with the Public Prosecutor's previous analysis regarding the maximum prescription period of 18 years. The crimes of qualified fraud and tax fraud were confirmed to have occurred in 2007 and 2004, respectively, leading to their prescription. The case has faced delays due to appeals and has been pending in the Constitutional Court for over two years.
