Bolivia's president declares state of emergency due to "super El Niño"

The Bolivian President Rodrigo Paz declared a state of emergency due to the severe impacts of the "super El Niño," which is causing droughts and floods. This measure aims to mobilize resources and relief teams in critical areas. Over 78,000 families are affected by drought, with significant livestock losses reported. Paz emphasized the need for cooperation among institutions to mitigate the effects of this unprecedented climatic phenomenon. The UN warned that this year's El Niño could exceed monitoring scales used for decades. Neighboring countries like Peru and Chile are also experiencing severe weather conditions linked to El Niño, including wildfires and heavy rainfall.
