On October 24, the President of the Republic expressed gratitude to all serving in the Army, highlighting the increasing complexity of the international context. In a message commemorating Army Day, António José Seguro referenced the historical significance of the capture of Lisbon in 1147 and acknowledged the commitment of current soldiers. He emphasized their professionalism in defending national interests and freedom. The President also paid tribute to past soldiers and veterans, recognizing their contributions to building Portugal and inspiring future generations.
