The head of the agency collecting data on doctors' salaries has resigned from his position
Daniel Rutkowski, head of the Medical Technology Assessment and Tarification Agency (AOTMiT), has resigned due to fatigue. AOTMiT, a state institution under the Ministry of Health, is responsible for supporting the healthcare system through medical technology assessment. The agency began collecting data on doctors' salaries following a scandal at the Southern Warsaw Hospital, where investigations are ongoing. A recent report indicated that in 2025, 172 doctors earned over one million zlotys, with the highest salary nearing three million. However, the data is limited due to low response rates from hospitals.
