The president wants to expand the city's borders. The mayor: he hasn't invested a single penny in development!

The President of Olsztyn, Robert Szewczyk, announced plans to expand the city's administrative boundaries to include areas from neighboring municipalities. This move aims to secure Olsztyn's future as a regional capital, as many residents from surrounding areas work in the city but contribute taxes elsewhere. However, local leaders from Dywity and Stawiguda strongly oppose the annexation, citing potential loss of community and financial impacts. They demand detailed assessments of the consequences for residents and local services. A city council vote is scheduled for October 28, and if approved, public consultations will follow.
