Petr Ryška from ODS is again the Mayor of Jihlava
Petr Ryška has been re-elected as the mayor of Jihlava, receiving 33 out of 35 votes at the inaugural meeting. He leads the winning coalition 'Team for Jihlava', which includes ODS, KDU-ČSL, and TOP 09, and has formed a new coalition with Starostové and nezávislí. The opposition now consists of ANO, which has the second highest number of representatives, along with Piráti, Fórem Jihlava, and SPD. Ryška expressed his commitment to work with the opposition and focus on city development projects, including a new transport terminal and water supply connections. The city council will continue with four deputy mayors, including representatives from STAN and TOP 09. ANO previously governed with ODS and KDU-ČSL but has now moved to opposition after receiving 23.2% of the votes in the recent elections.
