Prime Minister accuses President of ignoring the Constitution
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has intensified his criticism of President Karol Nawrocki, blaming him for the crisis in the Constitutional Tribunal. Nawrocki's refusal to appoint new judges has led to a breakdown in the court. The European Commission supports Tusk, who accuses his political rival Jaroslaw Kaczynski of orchestrating destabilization with Nawrocki's cooperation, allegedly influenced by Russia. Tusk argues that the solution to the conflict is straightforward and does not require constitutional changes, urging Nawrocki to recognize the judges elected by Parliament. He emphasizes that a democratic state cannot yield to violence, regardless of external pressures. Tusk also pointed to Dmitry Medvedev's comments suggesting a coup in Poland, linking it to the ongoing crisis.
