Attempt to attack RAF base. Police have again detained two men
British police have arrested two men, aged 24 and 25, in connection with a potential attack on RAF Fairford. One is a UK citizen, while the other holds dual UK-Iranian citizenship. They are suspected of collaborating with a foreign intelligence service and preparing a terrorist attack, possibly linked to Iran. The investigation is sensitive and may take a long time, according to anti-terror police chief Laurence Taylor. Previous arrests included five British individuals near the base, with no explosives found but gasoline recovered, suggesting preparations for an attack. Prime Minister Andy Burnham indicated that the operation might have been coordinated by Tehran, which denies the allegations.
