The entire leadership of ETA processed for the Santa Pola attack

The National Court judge Antonio Piña has ordered the full prosecution of ETA's leadership for the 2002 Santa Pola bombing, which resulted in two deaths and over fifty injuries. The judge holds members of the Zuba, ETA's Executive Committee, accountable, responding to a complaint from Dignidad y Justicia. The prosecution includes Ainhoa Múgica Goñi, Juan Antonio Olarra Guridi, Félix Ignacio Esparza Luri, and María Soledad Iparraguirre. This decision emphasizes the hierarchical structure of ETA, where the leadership approved actions like the Santa Pola attack. The judge's ruling cites the coordinated efforts of various ETA organs under the Zuba's directives, linking the leadership's responsibility to the execution of the bombing. The prosecution aims to ensure that not only direct perpetrators but also the organization's leaders are held accountable for terrorist acts.
