Government coalition partner project. The Sejm voted against.

The Polish Sejm rejected a bill to abolish the two-term limit for mayors and city presidents, a key demand from PSL. The vote saw 213 in favor and 215 against, with nine abstentions. The bill will now go to the Senate. PSL lacked full support from coalition partners, with 15 members from various parties voting against it. The two-term limit was introduced in 2018 under the Law and Justice government. Additionally, the Sejm approved changes to tax thresholds, raising the limit from 120,000 to 130,000 PLN, with new tax rates introduced for higher income brackets.
