Proposal regarding the road murder. PiS MPs on the details
On Wednesday, PiS MP Michał Wójcik announced plans to introduce the concept of road murder into Polish law following a court ruling related to a fatal accident. During a press conference, he emphasized the need for stronger legal measures against reckless driving, citing a recent case where a driver caused the deaths of three people while speeding over 300 km/h. Wójcik criticized the current penalties as insufficient and called for immediate legislative action. His colleague, Marcin Warchoł, detailed the proposed penalties, suggesting imprisonment of 8 to 25 years for road murder, arguing that reckless driving should be treated with greater severity. The discussion was prompted by a recent court ruling that sentenced a driver to eight years for causing a deadly crash.
