Extension of voting hours in Brazil added only 34,300 votes

In Brazil's presidential elections, a two-hour extension of voting resulted in only 34,300 additional votes, representing 0.03% of the total. Flávio Bolsonaro, the Liberal Party candidate, claims this extension favored his opponent, Lula da Silva, who won by 4.4 million votes. Bolsonaro criticized the Supreme Court's decision to extend voting, arguing it disrupted fairness in the election process. Despite these claims, judges from the Supreme Court and the Electoral Court dismissed any challenges to the election results. The TSE president, Kassio Nunes Marques, communicated the election outcome to both candidates after the polls closed.
