We will protest against the Russians at the World Championship, announced Šťastný. Hašek talks about advertising for war

Czech Sports Minister Boris Šťastný plans to file an official protest with the Court of Arbitration for Sport regarding its decision allowing Russian teams to participate in international hockey championships. He opposes Russian athletes competing under their flag during the ongoing aggression against Ukraine. Šťastný stated he cannot prevent Czech athletes from competing against Russians but believes their participation should be without national symbols. Former goalie Dominik Hašek expressed concerns that hosting such events would promote Russian imperialism and called for legislative measures to prevent this. He emphasized that any event involving Russia would legitimize war crimes and lead to more casualties.
