"Provokes Yalta around Ukraine". Polish MEP sharply criticizes Zelensky.
Waldemar Buda criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for escalating tensions with Poland, particularly regarding the Lviv Regional Council's decision to honor the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) and its leader, Roman Shukhevych. Buda expressed concerns that this move could provoke a new Yalta agreement, undermining Ukraine's sovereignty. He emphasized the importance of cooperation with Poland and suggested that Ukraine's actions could be seen as deliberate provocations. Buda also highlighted the potential for Poland to influence Ukraine's decisions, especially regarding grain transit issues. The Lviv Council's decision has drawn criticism from the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN), which condemned Shukhevych's historical actions against various nationalities.
