First avalanche intervention of the season. Slovak rescuers helped an injured Czech.

Rescuers in the Slovak part of the High Tatras responded to the first avalanche of the season, assisting an injured Czech tourist. The incident occurred near Dlhé pleso, where two hikers strayed off the trail while attempting to climb the Polish Ridge. An avalanche released above them did not bury them, but an 18-year-old man sustained a painful leg injury. Due to adverse weather, a helicopter could not reach him, so ground rescue teams were dispatched. After treatment, he was carried to a mountain hut and then transported by a service vehicle.
