Breakthrough in the Patriots case. Poland a step away from a major deal with the Americans
Poland is enhancing its air defense system by collaborating with the U.S. on servicing PAC-3 missiles for the Patriot systems. A Polish-American consortium will manage the service center, following agreements made at NATO's summit in July. The Polish military is set to receive eight Patriot batteries, with the first two achieving operational readiness by December 2025. Poland has also ordered hundreds of PAC-2 GEM-T missiles, valued at $988 million, to complement its existing arsenal. The production of advanced PAC-3 MSE missiles by Lockheed Martin is expected to increase significantly by 2030, ensuring robust air defense capabilities.
