Over 100,000 people were evacuated before the Arnab. The disaster is moving further.

Cyclone Arnab has caused significant destruction in eastern India, resulting in nine fatalities and extensive damage to infrastructure. The cyclone made landfall in Andhra Pradesh, damaging over 15,000 power poles and destroying at least 180 homes. More than 180,000 people were evacuated from Andhra Pradesh and Orissa ahead of the cyclone's arrival. Schools were closed, and some transportation services were suspended. Currently, Arnab has weakened to a tropical depression but may still affect weather conditions in several states, including Orissa and West Bengal, as well as in Nepal, where heavy rainfall and snowfall are anticipated.
