Searches at the offices of the Ziobro and Wipler foundations

The investigation into the cryptocurrency exchange Zondacrypto involves significant financial transactions linked to political figures. The foundation of former minister Zbigniew Ziobro received 450,000 PLN from Zondacrypto's president, while MP Przemysław Wipler's foundation also engaged in transactions with the company. Wipler denies any connection to lobbying for Zondacrypto. The Regional Prosecutor's Office in Katowice initiated the investigation on April 17, focusing on fraud and money laundering, with thousands of crime reports filed. The case has merged with another investigation regarding the disappearance of Sylwester Suszek, missing since March 2022, leading to arrests, including that of former PKOl head Radosław Piesiewicz.
