Through Crimea and Belarus to Ukraine. Residents of Ołeszek have left their city
A humanitarian convoy with evacuated residents from Ołeszki has reached Crimea, according to Russian Human Rights Commissioner Jana Łantratowa. The evacuees will fly to Belarus and then travel by bus to Ukraine. The operation was reported to have gone smoothly, although the number of evacuees remains unknown. Ukrainian officials confirmed that transportation was arranged for those wishing to leave Ołeszki, where conditions have been dire due to blocked roads and ongoing drone activity. The U.S. reported around 2,000 people, including 50 children, lacking food and water. A ceasefire was agreed upon to facilitate humanitarian aid and civilian evacuation, effective from October 27 to November 1.
