PS does not ask for the resignation of the president of IHRU
José Luís Carneiro, leader of the PS, addressed the Prime Minister regarding the potential resignation of IHRU president Benjamim Pereira, acknowledging his unfortunate remarks about youth sacrifices. Pereira had previously commented on the willingness of today's society to make sacrifices similar to those of previous generations. Following criticism, he admitted his statements were poorly phrased and did not intend to undermine housing difficulties. Various political parties, including PCP and BE, have called for Pereira's parliamentary hearing, deeming his comments unacceptable. Carneiro highlighted the rising housing costs and the challenges faced by young people, emphasizing the PS's commitment to finding solutions for affordable housing.
