PSP and GNR protest in Funchal for better salaries
Approximately 50 members of the PSP and GNR protested in Funchal, demanding better salaries and career recognition. The protest was motivated by an agreement signed two and a half years ago, which included a risk allowance increase and a review of salary tables, but only the risk allowance has been implemented. The demonstration aimed to raise awareness among the public and local authorities about the issues faced by security professionals. Union leaders emphasized the need for support from local officials and highlighted the lack of attractiveness in careers within the PSP and GNR due to stagnant salary tables. The protest was held under the slogan 'For a safe Portugal for all.'
