Putin only meets with Zelensky to sign peace
Yuri Ushakov, an advisor to Vladimir Putin, stated that the Russian president is willing to meet Volodymyr Zelensky only to sign a peace agreement with Ukraine. Ushakov emphasized that specific documents would need to be prepared for a long-term solution before any meeting could occur. He reiterated that if Zelensky wishes to negotiate directly, he must travel to Moscow, where security will be guaranteed. This is not the first time Putin has suggested a bilateral meeting, but Zelensky has consistently declined the invitation. Meanwhile, technical teams from Ukraine, Russia, and the U.S. are set to meet in Abu Dhabi in November, with Zelensky expressing readiness for a trilateral meeting, contingent on Russia's willingness.
