Putin agreed to resume trilateral talks on ending the war in Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin has agreed to resume trilateral talks with Washington and Kyiv regarding the end of the Ukraine war. This decision was announced by Kremlin official Yuri Ushakov after Putin's meeting with U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff in St. Petersburg. The discussions will focus on establishing a security framework for Russia and Ukraine post-conflict. Witkoff's visit is part of the U.S. efforts to bring Moscow and Kyiv to the negotiating table. Meanwhile, Russian attacks on Kyiv and Kharkiv continue, resulting in civilian casualties. Witkoff previously met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders in Oslo, where discussions were reportedly constructive.
