Four arrested in Vila Real for uncontrolled burns

Four individuals, three men aged 70 and a 59-year-old woman, were arrested in Vila Real for suspected forest fire crimes linked to uncontrolled authorized burns. The GNR reported that the fires originated from these burns, which got out of control. The arrests occurred in different municipalities, with the GNR emphasizing the importance of safety measures during authorized burns. The district has seen a rise in forest fire incidents, with 30 arrests made since the beginning of the year for similar offenses.
