The UN called on the future government for radical change

The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights urged the incoming Israeli government to respect international law following the parliamentary elections. Volker Türk emphasized Israel's obligations under international humanitarian and human rights law, expressing hope for a radical policy shift. After processing 85% of the votes, Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party and its allies are projected to secure 54 seats, while the opposition coalition led by Gadi Eisenkot is expected to gain 49 seats in the Knesset.
