Lviv Oblast Council member "undesirable person"? Sikorski: I signed the application
Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski announced the inclusion of Lviv Oblast councilor S. Szeremeta on the list of undesirable persons in Poland due to his controversial proposals regarding historical figures. Szeremeta, a supporter of the UPA, has been banned from entering Schengen countries for five years. The Lviv Regional Council declared 2027 as the year of the UPA and its leader Roman Szuchewycz, which sparked backlash from Polish officials, including calls for suspending partnerships with Lviv. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk criticized the decision, stating it harms Ukraine's interests and complicates relations with Poland.
