Dakar Rally 2026: The legendary event is changing location

The Dakar Rally 2027 will take place in a new location, starting in Europe and moving to Morocco. The event is scheduled for January 9-22, 2027, with a prologue in Spain or Portugal and 11-12 stages in Morocco. The rally has a rich history dating back to 1978, originally running from Paris to Dakar, Senegal. After leaving Africa in 2009 for safety reasons, it was held in South America for a decade and has been in Saudi Arabia since 2020. Organizers plan to return to the Arabian Peninsula in 2028, while fans await the official announcement of the 2027 location.
