Dakar Rally 2027 will take place in Portugal and Morocco

The 2027 Dakar Rally will take place in Portugal and Morocco due to geopolitical tensions in Saudi Arabia. The event was moved following increased attacks by Houthi fighters from Yemen against Riyadh. The rally will run from January 9 to 23, starting in Loulé-Faro, Portugal, and ending in Marrakech, Morocco. The Amaury Sport Organisation confirmed that the rally will return to Saudi Arabia for its 50th edition in 2028.
