Viktor Orbán's office responded to our report on expensive military trips.

Orbán Viktor's office defended former defense minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky against criticism regarding his official travel expenses, stating they complied with government guidelines. Reports indicated he spent 800 million HUF on military aircraft, significantly more than other travel costs. The statement also addressed a complaint filed by the Tisza government regarding former minister Márton Nagy's travels, accusing the Finance Ministry of continuing a smear campaign against national government ministers. The office dismissed the allegations as baseless and urged the finance minister to focus on economic issues instead.
